Special Order Terms
Last updated: August 16, 2026
These Special Order Terms apply to products identified on ElkhartRVParts.com as special order, made-to-order, custom, built-to-order, made fresh to order, or otherwise subject to product-specific final-sale terms. The product page controls whether these terms apply.
1. Special-Order Status and Acceptance
Special-order products may be manufactured, reserved, configured, allocated, or dispatched specifically in response to an order. When the product page requires an acknowledgment before purchase, that acknowledgment is part of the order record to the extent recorded by Shopify and the storefront.
2. Cancellations and Standard Returns
Unless the product page expressly states otherwise, special-order and custom items are final sale and are not eligible for cancellation, buyer-remorse return, or exchange after the applicable cancellation period or after production/fulfillment has begun. Nothing in these terms eliminates remedies required by applicable law or an applicable manufacturer warranty.
3. Shipping Address Is the Customer's Responsibility
The customer must provide a complete, accurate address where the order can reliably be received throughout the estimated production, fulfillment, and delivery period. This is particularly important for RV parks, campgrounds, resorts, rallies, temporary residences, seasonal locations, forwarding locations, and customers who are actively traveling.
ERVP relies on the address information submitted with the order and is not responsible for independently investigating location-specific carrier access, package-size limits, mailroom procedures, recipient authorization, forwarding restrictions, or other circumstances that determine whether the customer-selected address can accept a particular shipment. Address autocomplete or carrier validation is a convenience, not a guarantee of deliverability.
Before ordering, the customer must confirm that the address is complete, valid, accessible, authorized to receive the shipment, and able to accept and securely hold the product and delivery method. This includes RV parks, campgrounds, resorts, rallies, marinas, hotels, apartments, gated properties, rural routes, commercial locations, freight terminals, forwarding services, and private mailboxes. ERVP does not ship to PO Boxes.
If delivery fails because the customer-selected address is invalid, incomplete, inaccessible, restricted, refuses or cannot accept the package, lacks an authorized recipient, or is no longer occupied by the customer, the customer is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for resulting carrier/vendor charges and non-recoverable loss. A returned special-order shipment remains governed by its final-sale and product-specific terms; any permitted refund or reshipment may require payment or deduction of outbound shipping, return shipping, address-correction, carrier, vendor, handling, and restocking charges. If the package is abandoned, disposed of, lost, or otherwise not returned to ERVP because of the customer-selected address or its restrictions, ERVP is not required to refund or replace it except where required by law. This does not apply to an ERVP addressing error or unrelated carrier loss/damage, and it does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
After an order is submitted to a manufacturer or vendor, the shipping address may be locked by that supplier's system or policy and may not be changeable by ERVP. The fact that a special-order product has not yet shipped does not mean its destination can still be changed.
If a customer moves, changes RV parks, leaves a temporary location, or otherwise becomes unavailable at the address supplied with the order, ERVP does not guarantee rerouting, interception, cancellation, recovery, replacement, or refund. An attempt to change or intercept the shipment is a courtesy when available. Additional vendor, carrier, return-to-sender, recovery, or reshipping charges may be the customer's responsibility.
An otherwise correctly fulfilled order shipped to the address supplied by the customer does not become an ERVP wrong-address or non-delivery error merely because the customer later moved. ERVP may use the original order record, address, fulfillment and delivery evidence, accepted disclosures, and communications to respond to a payment dispute. Nothing here waives rights that cannot legally be waived.
4. Shipping Damage
Shipping damage is separate from the final-sale rule. Inspect shipments immediately. For high-value appliances and electrical equipment, photograph all sides of the carton and shipping label before opening and retain the original packaging.
Report visible or concealed physical shipping damage within 7 calendar days of delivery. If physical damage is discovered, do not install, connect, energize, modify, or use the product. Preserve the product and packaging while the claim is reviewed.
Elkhart RV Parts will evaluate documented physical transit damage and, when appropriate, administer the available carrier, ParcelGuard, vendor, or other transit-damage claim. See the Appliance & Functional Product Shipping Damage / Warranty Policy.
5. Product Does Not Work / Manufacturer Warranty
A product that has no evidence of physical transit damage but does not operate as expected is not automatically treated as shipping damage. If the product has been installed, connected, energized, modified, or used, it is not eligible for a standard unused-product return. Technical diagnosis and remedies generally proceed through the applicable manufacturer's warranty/service process.
Elkhart RV Parts will provide proof of purchase and reasonable administrative assistance and will participate when a manufacturer's procedure requires the selling dealer to do so. We do not automatically advance-ship a replacement or issue a refund solely because an installed or energized product is reported as nonworking.
6. Fitment, Installation, and Third-Party Work
Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility and following manufacturer instructions unless Elkhart RV Parts made a specific written fitment representation for the exact application. Where a manufacturer requires qualified or authorized installation or diagnosis, those requirements apply.
To the extent permitted by law and the applicable manufacturer warranty, Elkhart RV Parts is not responsible for third-party installer workmanship, improper wiring or setup, incompatible equipment, power-quality issues, customer-caused damage, or labor/removal/reinstallation costs not covered by the applicable warranty.
7. Payment Disputes
If a customer believes there is a problem with an order, contact us so the matter can be routed to the appropriate shipping, fulfillment, return, or manufacturer-warranty process. Elkhart RV Parts may contest payment disputes using the transaction record, delivery evidence, accepted disclosures, customer communications, and applicable return/warranty documentation. Nothing in these terms waives or limits payment-dispute or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
8. Governing Terms
These terms supplement the product listing, our general Terms of Service, Return Policy, Shipping Policy, Order Cancellation & Change Policy, and any applicable manufacturer warranty. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
