RV Blackout Shades: Night Pleated vs Roller Shades for Light Blocking
RV Blackout Shades: Night Pleated vs Roller Shades for Light Blocking
I ordered night blinds expecting no light to come through, but the shades I received allow light in. How can I get true blackout shades, and can I return the current custom-made blinds?
The pleated night shades you ordered use Black Stitchbond fabric, which is about 99% black but not fully blackout, so some light may still pass through. Unfortunately, because these blinds are custom made, returns are not accepted. If you want near-total darkness with pleated shades, you can order the Black Stitchbond fabric with the night-only option. For complete blackout with no light penetration, consider switching to blackout roller shades, which have a black inner and outer layer for full light blocking. You can order the pleated night shades with Black Stitchbond fabric or the blackout roller shades via the RV window shade designer on ElkhartRVParts.com. Choose the option that best fits blocking needs.
