The new Irvine Replacement Springs (1" version) are designed for Valu-Line RV roller shades manufactured from 2018 onward and are not compatible with older shade gear ends produced before 2019. Due to design changes, these springs cannot be used as a direct swap in pre-2019 shades. Unfortunately, the manufacturer no longer supplies the old-style springs needed for those earlier models. To resolve this, the recommended solution is to replace the entire shade assembly with a current model compatible with the new springs. If your spring is unused and resalable, you may return it.
