Can you provide installation instructions for the RV pleated window blind I purchased? The blind I have does not match the instructions I found.

Expert Answer

To install your RV pleated day/night shades, gather a drill or screwdriver, measuring tape, pencil, level, and screws (usually included). First, decide on an inside or outside mount. For inside mount, the shade fits inside the window frame; for outside mount, it covers the window frame and mounts to the wall or trim. Next, hold the shade up to the window and mark bracket locations about 3 inches from each end of the headrail. Secure the mounting brackets with screws to the window frame or wall. Attach the headrail by sliding the bracket hooks into its groove and locking it into place. If your shade has hold-down brackets for the bottom rail, install and snap the bottom rail accordingly. Finally, test the shade by gently pulling the cords to ensure smooth movement between day and night positions. Make sure the shade is level before fully tightening and install cord tensioners for child safety if included. Contact us if you need further assistance.
