📏 How to Measure for New RV Window Shades

Getting the right size is key, and we’re here to help. Here’s how to accurately measure for a replacement shade:

Record the opening and mounting arrangement

Photograph the window, valance, brackets and label. Record the available width, desired drop and clearance for handles or nearby furniture. Keep the existing shade dimensions separate from the window-opening dimensions.

Follow the selected manufacturer's measuring form

For Irvine Slow-Rise shades mounted inside a valance, Irvine's guide measures near the inside top of the valance and deducts one inch for width; drop runs from the inside top or mounting position to the bottom of the window frame. This instruction is specific to that ordering method. Use the official measuring guide and follow the fields in your selected product's order form so you do not deduct clearance twice.

Choose replacement or repair
